Jelly Footwear
For this project, I sketched 5 shoes to be a part of a footwear collection and made one of the pairs of shoes by hand. I learned footwear-making techniques and hand-stitched the leather layers of my shoes to create a wearable pair of lifestyle sneakers.

This project took Cnidarians (a phylum that includes Jellyfish) as inspiration for organic and expressive footwear.
Creating a Product Family
Explored concepts for a Cnidarian inspired product family with a high top sneaker, rain boot, slide, running shoe, and lifestyle shoe. Each concept explores layering and transparency in distinct ways.
An Ideal Outsole
For the sake of making my model I used an existing outsole but in an ideal world would have used the outsole pictured below to incorporate the flowing forms of the upper into a dynamic outsole form.
